My wife and I have purchased Valspar paint for 8 rooms of our house that we purchases last summer, 2012. 7 of the rooms came out well. One room...well one room seemed fine last winter when we painted. But over the months we kept noticing an odd "bad feet" or "bad teeth" odor. We could not place it. Fast forward this to the summer...and with the windows open, the heat and humidity. That smell increased 10 fold.

This smell was never present before the application of paint. You can go up and smell the walls and can smell it emanating from there.

We contacted Valspar, they were going to have a rep come to our house and take samples. It also turned out that our batch of paint, had other complaints to it as well. A rep never came, valspar said that other samples had been tested and no bacteria was present. But they would supply us with their Bonding Primer and additional paint.

We painted this past month, now winter again, and cranked the heat up recently. Lo and Behold the room still smells!!! Reading other posts Valspar customer service blows. They essentially blame the customer in all things paint related. Good thing i took pictures.

Warning to all, if you like bad feet smell, and want to a take a chance, Valspar is your paint. If they do not rectify our situation this will be escalated....
