Beware if you are dumb enough to continue using Valspar (as I am) that they have relabeled the Signature Paint as "Valspar Storm Coat"
I have repainted an exterior building 3 times because I bought the best...Valspar Signature with Primer the first time. The paint is thin and runs a lot.
It wont dry. It is shinny and wont cover. I bought the medium grade Valspar and repainted everything. I am still fighting the original paint job over 1.5 years later.
The paint peels off in sheets. I scrape it and repaint it.
I just bought a matching can of Valspar's medium grade paint and noticed the label had changed. It no longer says 15 year guarantee and they now call it Storm Coat.
The minute I started painting with it, I recognized the ***. It was the worst paint I had ever used. How could they think consumers wouldn't recognize it under another label? It is the Signature paint rebranded.
I guess they had to do something with it!
Now, instead of avoiding a *** version of Valspar..I will be avoiding Valsper all together! I hope this company goes under!
Monetary Loss: $500.

Jesus dude how retarded can you get? Storm Coat is not the same as Signature.
Valspar Signature is an INTERIOR paint and will not hold up to the weather. Valspar Duramax is the exterior version of Signature and will hold up well to the weather.
Signature is an Interior Paint. it is not made to go outside.
you might be thinking of Severe Weather paint.
if so then yes severe weather is the same as storm coat. they should have told you that when you bought the paint.
I always try to do my homework before giving advice to help people.Don't need to impress anyone.I have a valspar paint chart in front of me.It
say's " exterior latex paint ".Don't listen to zero.He an absolute zero.
Valspar signature is an interior paint dummy
